According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, about 40 percent of people in their 50s and older are still actively looking for work. Those who are able to make use of existing skills in their new career tend to be more successful. Finding the right match could really be just a matter of looking in the right place. This 4 week session will help individuals navigate through career decision making process.
Who should participate?
Middle aged individuals (ages 45-50) and older who are seeking to pursue or explore career and/or entrepreneurial opportunities at this stage of their life are encouraged to attend and participate in this 4-week class.
Participants who attend, will:
- Gain more insight into available career opportunities for middle aged and older individuals
- Learn how to parlay existing job skills into alternative career and/or entrepreneurial opportunities
- Gain resume writing strategies to reflect an individuals’ extensive experience
- Receive a career report reflecting potential job opportunities/industries
