Overview

Play therapy has been shown to be an effective intervention with children for a variety of behavioral and emotional difficulties. Research has shown that motivated parents/caregivers can be trained to be as effective as play therapists using play therapy skills with their own children, with as little as 20 hours of Child-Parent-Relationship (C-P-R) Training.

Our Process

The C-P-R Training can be quite beneficial for parents of children aged 4-12 years old. Sessions are typically 90 minutes once weekly for 10 weeks. These Child-Parent Relational (C-P-R) training can be conducted either virtually or in-person.

Getting Results

Research studies have shown that Child-Parent-Relational (C-P-R) Training can: (a) reduce or eliminate behavior problems (b) Enhance the parent-child relationship and the marital relationship (c Develop responsibility and self-control in children (d) Increase children self-esteem and self-confidence and (e) Increase parents’ feelings of warmth for their children.
